# POV (/strategies/pov)

POV means Percentage of Volume. Choose a total size, participation percentage, limit price, and duration. The strategy watches trades on your execution venue and submits IOC limit slices as volume becomes available.

```bash
mlab strategy run pov BTC --venue bulkf --testnet \
  --side buy --size 0.01 --participation 5 \
  --limit-price 80000 --duration 300 --dry-run
```

Prices here are examples. Use a valid tick-aligned price for your market. Preview first; replace `--dry-run` with `--yes` to start.

* `--participation 5` caps submitted size at 5% of observed volume.
* `--limit-price` is the maximum buy price or minimum sell price.
* IOC cancels any unfilled part of each slice. Unfilled attempts still count toward the submitted-size budget and are not retried.
* The strategy stops at `--duration`, even if the target is not filled. It never sweeps the remainder at market.

Use `--margin` instead of `--size` for margin-based sizing. `--leverage` and `--reduce-only` are supported. POV uses the selected venue's live trades, not a separate volume source.

In Furge, choose **POV** under Strategies, configure the same settings, then preview and confirm. See [job commands](/strategies#jobs) to inspect or stop a CLI job.
